Allenspark Fire Protection District – Incidents June 20 to July 17, 2024

 

June 24, 2024, 11:53 to 12:00, Fire Alarm, Windance Road

AFPD investigated and found an unintentional alarm activation.  No further response needed.

Seven Allenspark personnel responded.

 

June 24, 2024, 12:01 to 12:58, Medical Call, Riverside Drive

AFPD administered first aid, oxygen and IV therapy.  Transported patient to Station One to rendezvous with Estes Park Ambulance 410.  EP410 transported to Estes Park Health.

Eight Allenspark personnel responded.

 

June 25, 2024, 10:13 to 11:20, Medical Call, North Skinner Road

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  AFPD assisted Estes Park Ambulance 410 with patient transfer to ambulance and IV.  EP410 transported to Estes Park Health.

Six Allenspark personnel responded.

 

June 28, 2024, 22:53 to 23:34, Medical Call, Ponderosa Lane

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  AFPD assisted patient from floor, no further response needed.

June 30, 2024, 11:53 to 12:23, Business Route 7

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  AFPD transported patient to Station One to rendezvous with Estes Park Ambulance 410.  EP410 transported to Estes Park Health.

July 1, 2024, 08:28 to 08:41, Smoke Detector, Wandering Elk Way

AFPD investigated smoke detector activation.  Workers on scene created dust which activated the alarm, no further response needed.

July 1, 2024, 11:42 to 12:1, Motor Vehicle Accident, Highway 7

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  Estes Park Ambulance 410 transported to Estes Park Health.

Thirteen Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 1, 2024, 20:38 to 20:50, Service Call, Highway 7

AFPD investigated report of a burst water pipe.  Upon arrival, water had been turned off, no further response needed.

Ten Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 4, 2024, 23:23 to July 2 03:50, Structure Fire, Highway 7

AFPD responded to a shed fully engulfed in flames.  Received mutual aid assistance from Lyons Fire, Lefthand Fire, Boulder Emergency Services and Boulder County Fire Management.  Crews extinguished fire and prevented spread to nearby house and forest.

Fifteen Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 5, 2024, 12:00 to 13:00, Inspection of Structure Fire, Highway 7

Crews returned to the site of the previous structure fire to check for hot spots.

Six Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 5, 2024, 17:56 to 18:27, Unattended Campfire, Taylor Road

AFPD investigated report of an unattended campfire.  Made contact with occupants and found a legal safe firepit on private property.

Three Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 5, 2024, 20:53 to :21:08, Motor Vehicle Accident, Bunce School Road

AFPD investigated the scene of a motor vehicle accident.  Vehicle was recovered by owners, no injuries.  No further response needed.

July 5, 2024, 20:46 to 21:14, Illegal Campfire, Highway 7 & 72

AFPD investigated and found one campfire during Stage 1 Fire Restrictions.  Fire was extinguished without incident.

July 5, 23:51 to July 6, 2024 00:25, Motor Vehicle Accident, Highway 7

AFPD investigated the scene of an accident.  No occupants found, flagged the vehicle.  Occupants were reported to be in Estes Park.

July 6, 2024, 12:37 to 13:12, Motor Vehicle Accident, Highway 7

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  AFPD administered first aid and splinting to injuries.  Estes Park Ambulance 420 transported patient to Estes Park Hospital with one firefighter rider and one firefighter driver.

Twelve Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 6, 2024, 18:43 to 126, Medical Call, County Road 84 West

AFPD assessed patient; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  Handed patient care to Estes Park Ambulance 420.  EP420 transported patient to Estes Park Health.

Six Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 8, 2024, 11:13 to 13:39, Mutual Aid Wildland Fire, Longmont

AFPD sent one Wildland Fire vehicle and crew to Lyons Fire to stand by for a fire at Joder Ranch.  Sufficient resources were on scene and AFPD was cancelled.

Eight Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 8, 2024, 11:19 to 13:39, Mutual Aid Wildland Fire, Lyons

FPD Wildland Fire vehicle and crew staged at Lyons Fire in case more resources were needed for the Button Rock / Coulson Gulch fire.  Sufficient resources were on scene and AFPD was cancelled.

July 8, 2024, 18:59 to 19:43, Smoke Report, Highway 7

AFPD investigated in the area of a smoke report.  Found campfire along creek during Stage 1 restrictions.  Fire was extinguished, no further response needed.

July 9, 2024,11:54 to 14:46, Wildland Fire, Bunce School Road

AFPD contained and extinguished a wildland fire with mutual aid from Lefthand Fire, Boulder Emergency Squad, US Forest Service and Boulder County Sheriff Office Fire Management personnel.

Fourteen Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 9, 2024, 13:09 to 16:53, Wildland Fire 24 Hour Check, Bunce School Road

AFPD returned to scene of previous day's fire to extinguish hot spots.

Five Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 11, 2024, 12:00 to 17:35, Wildland Fire 48 Hour Check, Bunce School Road

AFPD investigated scene of previous Wildland Fire.  Declared the fire out when no more signs of heat or smoke could be found.

One Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 11, 2024, 19:05 to 22:30, Search & Rescue, Tahosa Park North

AFPD assisted Boulder County Sheriff's Office in the search for a missing person.  Other assistance in the search was provided by Rocky Mountain Rescue, Front Range Rescue Dogs and Boulder Emergency Squad. The individual was found safe.

July 12, 2024, 21:24 to 22:10, Authorized Controlled Burning, Highway 7

AFPD investigated a report of a large bonfire.  Found a campfire on private property, legal during Stage 1 fire restrictions.  Checked for any unsafe or hazardous conditions.  No further response needed.

July 12, 22:43 to 23:06, Unauthorized Buring, Highway 7 & 72

AFPD found two fires when returning from previous call.  One fire was propane fueled which is legal during Stage 1 fire restrictions.  One fire was a wood fueled campfire which is illegal during Stage 1 fire restrictions.  The illegal campfire was extinguished, no further response needed.

July 12, 2024, 10:05 to 11:02, Smoke Report, Business Route 7

AFPD investigated in area of Rocky Mountain Pathways, Highlands Presbyterian Camp and Ski

Road.   Dust and smoke from chipping operations were the likely cause of smoke.

Five Allenspark personnel responded.

 

July 13, 2024, 15:45 to 17:08, Medical Call, Ski Road East

AFPD assisted patient to home then assessed; took vitals, medical history, medications, etc.  Called Estes Park Ambulance for transportation to hospital.  EP420 transported patient to Longs Peak Hospital.

July 14, 2024, 16:29 to 16:49, Medical Call, Highway 7

AFPD staged in area of a possible medical call per request of Boulder County Sheriff's Officer.  BCSO cancelled all responding units.

July 14, 2024, 12:00 to 19:45, Wildland Watch, Highway 7

Two AFPD Wildland Firefighters were on duty for the day because of Fire Watch Warning - No Open Fire Burning - from National Weather Service.

July 16, 2024, 18:24 to 19:27, Odor Investigation, Bill Waite Road

AFPD investigated source of propane smell.  Propane was shut off and residents were advised to call propane company for a tank inspection.
